I started using their Vitamin C Serum in the spring of 2020 and I love it.

The vitamin C Serum contains skin supporting ingredients such as aloe, vitamins C and E, MSM, botanical hyaluronic acid, witch hazel, jojoba oil and horsetail, dandelion and geranium extracts.

The hyaluronic acid helps create new collagen, restoring the elasticity and structure of skin damaged over the years by the sun and harsh elements in the environment.

Smartr Skin Micro Needle Derma Roller

The derma roller, with hundreds of high quality titanium micro needles (0.05 mm in size), is a wonderful option that replaces expensive spa treatments.

The micro needle derma roller works with the body to create beautiful results. Micro needling stimulates healing by encouraging the body to produce collagen, naturally. Needling helps to reverse the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and fine lines.

Benefits of weekly micro needling includes:

This is a safe tool for at home use. I pour alcohol over the needles before and after using, to keep them sterilized. After washing my face and using witch hazel on my skin, I use the micro needle derma roller gently over my face. There’s no pain, only a mild tingly feeling, and absolutely no bleeding. The needles barely prick the outer skin surface, which is exactly what you want them to do.

After use, I apply the Vitamin C Serum, use my jade roller and gua sha tool and then follow with my Smartr Skin Moisturizer.

Smartr Skin Jade Roller and Gua Sha Facial Tool

The jade roller and gua sha facial tool massage the face, boost blood circulation, and tone and rejuvenate skin.

The cool, smooth jade stones, in the roller and the gua sha tool, feel wonderful against my skin. I start with the jade roller, using the larger end for jawline, cheeks and forehead. And then I switch to the smaller roller for the mouth and under eye areas.

I use the gua sha tool over my neck first, moving downward toward my collarbones. Then I glide it over jaw line, cheeks and forehead, gently stretching skin. Finally, I “comb” the gua sha over my scalp, starting at the hairline and moving back over the top of my scalp. I finish with my Smartr Skin moisturizer.

Almost two months ago, Smartr Skin sent me a couple of their products to experience. The Eye Treatment and Moisturizer impressed me greatly. I use simple routines and practices to care for my skin. Smartr Skin is a perfect fit for me. The company produces products that are vegan, cruelty free and paraban and phthalate free as well. Plus, they include natural ingredients that deeply nourish the skin.

I continue to use the eye treatment and the moisturizer and love them.

So when Smartr Skin offered to let me try another of their products, I enthusiastically agreed. To my delight, the company sent me their Smartr Skin Vitamin C Serum.

This is my first experience with a vitamin C serum. After using it daily for about a month, here are my results and my honest opinion.

People with sensitive skin should test vitamin C serum on a small area of skin. Occasionally those with sensitive skin experience mild irritation. Use only a few drops and if applying during the day, finish with a SPF 50 or higher sunscreen.

Applying Vitamin C Serum

I added the serum to my daily skin care routine. At this time, I’m only using it in the evenings.

After washing my face with a gentle foaming micellar cleanser and applying micellar solution as a toner, I add four drops of the vitamin C serum to the palm of my hand.

Beginning with the delicate under eye area, I smooth the serum gently beneath both eyes and over the lids and then down the bridge and sides of my nose. Using my fingertips I apply a small amount of serum to my forehead. Next I focus on the area around my mouth, including the tip of the nose. And finally, I apply serum to both checks and my lower face, including the chin and jawline.

I smooth any remaining serum over my neck and upper chest.

Truly, a small amount of serum goes a long way! It absorbs quickly into my skin without leaving an oily feeling or residue.

After the serum dries, I apply Smartr Skin Moisturizer over my entire face. That’s it for my evening routine. In the mornings, I skip the serum and apply Smartr Skin Eye Treatment over my whole face. Then I apply makeup.

You may use the vitamin C serum in the mornings too. Just make sure you apply sunscreen as well.

My Results

I love this addition to my skin care routine.

I’d already noticed improved smoothness, softness and clarity using the Eye Treatment and Moisturizer. Including the serum, my skin responded by becoming firmer.

My skin texture is better and my pores, which are large, are so much smaller. Fine lines are disappearing. Overall, my skin is brighter, more toned and elastic, and my complexion has evened out.

My skin care routine is very simple. I eat a healthy diet and drink lots of water and herbal teas, knowing skin care begins from within. I clean my face twice a day with a Norwex microfiber cloth and warm water. And for years I’ve used a face serum that I make myself, from coconut oil, essential oils, vitamin E and raw organic honey.

So when Smartr Skin contacted me, about trying two of their skin care products, I did my research before saying yes. I immediately appreciated that their products are vegan, cruelty free and paraban and phthalate free as well. Plus, the inclusion of natural ingredients impressed me.

I received Smartr Skin Eye Treament and the Moisturizer. After trying them for several weeks, these are my results and my honest opinion.

This lightweight, deionized water based lotion absorbs easily and quickly into the delicate skin in the eye area. A small drop goes a long way, without leaving behind a greasy residue.

The lotion is unscented and rich with superior anti-aging ingredients such as aloe vera gel, hydrolyzed rice bran protein, and extracts of grape, cucumber, pineapple, passion flower and lemon.

My Results Using Smartr Skin Eye Treatment

As a teen I first began paying special attention to the delicate under eye area. Over the years, I’ve used a variety of lotions and serums. This area around the eyes is the first to show signs of aging. My desire is to age gracefully. However, taking excellent care of my skin is important to me as well.

I’m finding, I can do both!

I love the Smartr Skin Eye Treatment. The lotion smooths easily onto the under eye area and the lids. A small amount covers the lids and under eye area and I smooth the remainder over my forehead.

This luscious treatment firms and smooths the skin. I can see and feel the difference . My skin feels soft and yet toned, and drinks this lotion up.

My Results Using Smartr Skin Moisturizer

I appreciate the moisturizer as well as the eye treatment. The lotion is so creamy and lightweight, absorbing quickly into the skin.

My routine the last few weeks is to clean and gently dry my skin and then apply the eye treatment around my eyes and upward onto my forehead. As it absorbs I brush my teeth and get ready for bed or for the day, depending on whether it is evening or morning. I then smooth on a small amount of moisturizer, paying attention to my cheeks and the skin around my mouth. Any remaining lotion goes on my neck and upper chest.

I still use my homemade serum on my lips. To give the Smartr Skin products a fair try, I have not used my serum otherwise. Honestly, I love how my skin looks and feels, using these amazing products. My complexion seems clearer and brighter and my skin is more toned and resilient. And I’m grateful for the natural ingredients and the cruelty free practices.
